Business Development Director-Enterprise Software Sales Duties

 

Neurala seeks a dynamic individual with excellent communications skills and deal hunting experience to lead our efforts in finding, proposing, and winning enterprise software licensing contracts in drone/robot/autonomous vehicle/smart device space, or any other commercial/industrial B2B customers using Neurala's world-class Deep Learning AI technology.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to interact with “C” level client executives with credibility and business acumen in directing discovery conversations toward utilizing Neurala’s AI technology in solving their operational challenges and increasing operational efficiency and ROI
  • Vertical market expertise in at least one, but preferably more than one industry that could use Neurala’s capabilities (security, inspection, public safety, retail, toys, smart devices, etc.)
  • Understand Neurala's technical roadmap and be able to clearly explain it to prospects
  • Publicly represent yourself as an industry expert/advocate/evangelist
  • Distill customer needs and imagine Neurala solutions to their problems
  • Organize, negotiate, and manage support from engineers and colleagues to craft solutions
  • Clear, effective communication of proposed solutions in the form of presentations, demos, White Papers, and webinars, in English, in-person and on the phone to global customers/prospects
  • Excellent proposal-writing
  • Strong track record in winning enterprise software contracts in sophisticated technology areas
  • Self-directed management of all stages of sales cycle in a Hubspot CRM
  • Demonstrated ability to retain and up-sell customers
  • Provide feedback to Marketing, Engineering and Product Management regarding business intelligence, competition, market demands, trends, new product ideas, etc.
  • Create, organize, and deliver presentation of Neurala's value proposition at appropriate forum – in person meetings, trade shows, speaking engagements

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in software, engineering, mathematics, robotics
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development or complex enterprise software licensing
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Superior project and time management skills
  • Positive team player with an ability to maintain professionalism and motivate peers and customers
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software use
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance if necessary
  • Ability to travel for trade shows and customer visits
