The Neurala Technology Platform in Remote Sensing

Remote sensing

Enabling large-scale fusion and classification algorithms to be deployed and run in real-time

Remote SensingNeurala is addressing two major problems in remote sensing: automatic classification and information fusion.  These processes rely heavily on AI and increased processing power, two of the main technological innovations that are believed will have the largest impact in the sector of remote sensing. Increasing the processing power for those who write AI algorithms is the main focus of Neurala's technology. We believe that both feature extractions and classifications will benefit from a set of tools that will allow writing the elementary operations of these algorithms in parallel form, NTP will provide these tools in a easy-to-use software platform.

Neurala is currently focusing in the detection of signature characteristic of wildfire and providing an output in real-time that can be used to forecast its occurrence, its direction, and allow a prompt intervention.  The Department of Cognitive and Neural Systems will be valuable in this project because it has developed technological solutions and partnerships in the field of remote sensing with the Department Geography and Environment at Boston University looking at similar problems.
